Kicks 101.5 Country Fair this year is headlined by A-list country star and recent Rolling Stone cover girl Miranda Lambert.

Lambert will perform October 18 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Tickets went on sale July 19 and are going fast. Buy them here.

Ticket prices range from $35.20 and $103.45 after fees.

Her duet with Carrie Underwood 'Somethin' Bad" just broke the top 20 on the Mediabase 24/7 country charts. Over the past decade, Lambert has compiled 19 top 40 country hits including No. 1 songs such as "The House That Built Me," "Heart Like Mine" and "Over You."

The Kicks Country Fair headliners for the past two years were Alan Jackson (2012) and Darius Rucker (2013.)

In other Kicks news, Jerry "Tug" Cowart time as afternoon jock on Kicks lasted just under a year. He was recently taken off in favor of Chris Carter (above). Tug remains on the on-air staff.

Tug, a Georgia native, has been at Kicks for seven years, mostly on the morning show.

Carter was a long-time jock on Star 94 and has been with Kicks about three years.

"Jeopardy" contestant Josiah Takang from Douglasville is participating in the annual "Jeopardy" high school tournament starting tonight (July 21) at 7 p.m. on 11 Alive (WXIA-TV.)

He's a 16-year-old junior from Douglas County High School.
