Mitch Faulkner , a long-time jock on Kiss 104.1, has decided to leave the station.

He had been hosting the R&B station's Saturday night throwbacks party.

Faulkner declined to say what his next radio gig is but it will involve providing voice imaging for another Atlanta radio station.

He came to Atlanta in 1980 and worked as a jock at WCLK-FM, WIGO-AM and V-103 before joining what was then Kiss 104.7 in January, 1986. He has since left and come back to Kiss multiple times over the years under three different owners. From 2004 to 2007, he worked for Tom Joyner's syndication operation in Dallas.

The Kentucky native currently does voice-over imaging for 46 stations nationwide. (You can hear his demo tape here.)

Kiss and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution are both part of Cox Media Group.
