I've screened the debut episode of season 10 of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," which returns this Sunday at 8 p.m. Here are a few things you'll see and anyone who follows social media and gossip blogs on the subject would not be surprised by anything I'm revealing:
- She's back! NeNe Leakes returns in the fourth minute checking out Cynthia Bailey's new lakeside home in Sandy Springs. And she is happy to stir the pot, of course, because that's how she rolls. Plus, she gets to promote her Swagg Boutique in Buckhead.
- What's with this marriage? NeNe is skeptical of Kenya's surprise marriage with Marc Daly in June in St. Lucia. "I want to see the marriage license," Leakes said to Cynthia. "You have to admit, this is strange." The marriage involved none of the "Housewives" and some like Kandi are miffed Kenya said nothing to them. Kenya at first refuses to name Marc on the show, much less have him in front of the camera. "I don't want these outside influences to mess up with something special," she explained. But she reluctantly calls herself "Ms. Daly."
- The ghost of Phaedra: She is no longer on the cast but Bravo won't make us forget her yet. She appears in flashbacks a few times.
- Porsha isolated. Phaedra's betrayal - feeding Porsha vicious lies about Kandi last season - left Porsha with no real friends on the cast. "What she did to me she felt she had to do to get back at Kandi. She used me as collateral," Porsha said. "She has tried to reach out to me four or five times. I don't know how it's going to end up." Her conclusion is to stick with family and avoid friends: "I've decided to lock it down when it comes to new friends." Her tension points are primarily with Kandi and NeNe. The only cast member to reach out to her during the off season was Sheree Whitfield, now playing peacemaker.
