The public will have a say in casting the eighth season of BET's gospel singing competition show "Sunday Best" in a new all-star edition.  The show has been shooting in Atlanta the past few years.

Starting on April 1, readers can visit www.bet.com/SundayBest to brush up on past performances and vote for their favorites from 40 past contestants that will in turn be whittled down to ten. Voting runs through April 15.

The top ten will be announced on air when the show premieres in July.

All the regulars will be back: host Kirk Franklin and judges Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Kierra Sheard, along with the help of singer and mentor Kim Burrell.

BET has yet to send me the name of the 40 potential contestants for the all-star edition but I will post them when I get them.
