Crime stories are still the rage. A&E explores the 2002 murder of Laci Peterson Tuesday while Oxygen digs into the Natalee Holloway disappearance on Saturday.

On a lighter note, Marlon Wayans returns to sitcoms with "Marlon" Wednesday on NBC while two long-time series come back: "Project Runway" on Lifetime Thursday for season 16 and "Flipping Out" on Bravo reaches season 10. And Spike TV is airing the 1,000th episode of "Cops" Saturday.

Over the weekend, two shows shot in Atlanta are returning: the fourth and final season of AMC's "Halt and Catch Fire" Saturday and Starz' "Survivor's Remorse" on Sunday for a fourth season. Atlanta-based TNT is also bringing back the fourth season of "The Last Ship" Sunday while Showtime brings back "Episodes" for a fifth season the same night.

And the umpteenth Marvel series debuts on Netflix Friday called "The Defenders."

This covers Monday, August 14 through Sunday, August 20, 2017.

MONDAY

"America Ninja Warrior" 8 p.m. NBC — Top 30 competitors from the Cleveland Qualifier tackle the City Finals course.

"Bachelor in Paradise" 8 p.m. ABC (fourth season debut) — The cast arrive in Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico, in the fourth-season opener.

"So You Think You Can Dance" 8 p.m. Fox — After the Top 10 competed for the nation's vote, one dancer must head home.

"Preacher" 9 p.m. AMC— Jesse gets a much-needed breakthrough in his search for God; Tulip continues to spiral; and Cassidy makes a life-altering decision for Denis.

"Baller Wives" 10 p.m. VH1 (new series) — Miami-based Michael Vick and his wife are part of this show.

"Midnight, Texas" 10 p.m. NBC — An enigmatic woman with an insatiable appetite arrives in Midnight.

"The Real Housewives of Dallas" 10 p.m. Bravo (second season debut) — Two new housewives arrive.

"People of Earth" 10:30 p.m. TBS — Gina distracts Agent Foster so that Ozzie can sneak away to meet Walsh.

TUESDAY

"America's Got Talent" 8 p.m. NBC — The first live show.

"Animal Kingdom" 8 p.m. TNT — Baz orchestrates his plan to take down Smurf as Marco cashes in a favor with Craig and Deran. Elsewhere, Pope seeks the truth behind a death.

"The Haves and the Have Nots" 9 p.m. OWN — Jim and David search for Warlock, who is being pursued by the Malones.

"Greenleaf10 p.m. OWN — Grace and Mac's showdown sends shockwaves through the family,

"Hollywood Game Night" 10 p.m. NBC — The celebrity players are Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Carson Kressley, Marcus Lemonis and Bill Engvall.

"Manhunt" 10 p.m. Discovery — The Unabomber will stop bombing if his Manifesto is published.
