Texas:

The Hillary Clinton campaign at last opened a state headquarters in Houston on Thursday, with a new state senator endorsement. Bernie Sanders opened his first Texas office in November and his seventh last week -- an outpost in Corpus Christi. (Houston Chronicle)

Virginia:

The state board of elections voted to get rid of the Republican Party's "loyalty oath," after the state GOP recently reversed itself under pressure from Donald Trump and others. The 1,300 early votes already cast in the primary will count whether or not the voter signed the oath. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Iowa also-rans are dropping like flies, but the former Virginia governor who got just 12 votes in the caucuses is still running. Jim Gilmore is on the ballot in Virginia, but not in most of the SEC Primary states. (Virginian Pilot)

Atlanta's own Herman Cain drew 100 people to a live broadcast of his radio show from Tulsa. He admonished Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio to stop fighting "over inside Senate crap" and said he expects Ben Carson to drop out of the race soon. Cain said still has not picked a favorite candidate – but he has shown up at both rallies that Donald Trump has held in Georgia. (Tulsa World)
