As Night 2 kicks off in Cleveland at the Republican National Convention, multiple media outlets are also covering protests happening outside Quicken Loans arena.
While the immediate area by the arena seemed clear, protests in some areas of downtown Cleveland appeared to grow testy in the moments before the evening program kicked off at 5:30 p.m.
Most reports, however, indicated mostly peaceful demonstrations, with only minor scuffles. From Politico's Live Blog:
Prominent conspiracy theorist and Donald Trump backer Alex Jones was briefly embroiled in a scuffle after showing up at an anti-Trump protest in Cleveland with a megaphone on Tuesday and then disappeared from the vicinity.
Also, from the Washington Post national reporter Wesley Lowery:
Many are watching inside the arena to see if the "Never Trump" supporters can rally one last gasp of attention during roll call as the presumed Republican presidential candidate marches on.
