It's not quite as indelible as the babies, but Jack Kingston hopes when you think of David Perdue in this closing week of the Senate Republican runoff, you think of a mannequin.
Above is the new closing spot from Kingston declaring Perdue is "just not the real thing." Interestingly, it skips the tax hike charge and goes after Perdue on Common Core, immigration and the bank bailout.
(Perdue has said Common Core had good ideas but should be abandoned. A subsidiary of the National Retail Federation supported a so-called amnesty bill when Perdue was on the NRF board, but Perdue says he would support no such thing in Congress. And he said TARP was a decent taxpayer investment because we got the money back but says he would not have voted for it on principle.)
Perdue also rolled out an ad today:
He takes aim at Kingston, sticking with the babies and speaking direct to camera alleging that Kingston has a record of "22 years of liberal spending." Kingston points out that conservative groups give him high marks and he has cut real spending on the Appropriations Committee in recent years.
