Take a look at the above video. You're about to see plenty more of it.

Gov. Nathan Deal's campaign is spending more than $1 million to plaster this ad, "One," on television screens across the state. It will run with others through the May 20 primary.

It's a feel-good message of job creation that invokes a magazine's recognition of Georgia as the "number one place to do business" - praise that Deal has mentioned at just about every campaign stop.

The ad for the governor, who has nearly $4 million in his campaign coffers, makes no mention of his GOP primary opponents or Democrat Jason Carter, who is waiting in the wings to challenge the Republican nominee in November.

None of his three opponents have aired ads yet, though former Dalton Mayor David Pennington is said to be buying ad time for commercials of his own in May.

Update: Carter's campaign responded Wednesday to the ad with a fundraising pitch and a new fact sheet seeking to punch holes in Deal's sunny argument.

"If Gov. Deal thinks that Georgia at its best is one with crowded classrooms, shorter school years and falling incomes, then his ad makes perfect sense," said Bryan Thomas, a Carter spokesman. "Things may be going pretty well for the governor's friends, but the middle class is hurting. If Gov. Deal thinks this is the best that Georgia can do, then it's time for a new leader with a vision for Georgia's brighter future."
