Here's your head-turner of the day: Atlanta hip hop impresario Chris "Ludacris" Bridges will tour a school with Gov. Nathan Deal on Friday.

The pair will speak the kids at Clayton County's Utopian Academy and watch them perform a song. They'll be joined by Dr. E. Dewey Smith, pastor of House of Hope Baptist Church. The Deal campaign is orchestrating the event, but spokesman Brian Robinson said it won't be political or look any different from an official event.

Deal is a Republican and Ludacris gave generously to President Barack Obama in 2012, though we did find a friendly photo of them with first lady Sandra Deal last year.

Some more details from a news release:

Gov. Nathan Deal and hip hop artist Ludacris will visit Clayton County's Utopian Academy for the Arts Friday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. The governor recently visited the school, which overcame many obstacles to open its doors for the new school year last month. Impressed by what he saw, Deal invited the students to sing at his second inauguration, and he asked Ludacris to come see what's going on at the school and to talk with the students about the hard work that led to his success.

In Ludacris' vast lyrical canon, there are few lines appropriate for such an occasion -- or for a family newspaper. Might we suggest: "Overall Georgia, we overall clean" ("Southern Hospitality"). Or you can replace the naughty words with "vote" in any number of tracks.
