The ground game in Georgia is heating up as the March 1 presidential primary nears.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's campaign will formally open its first campaign office in Georgia on Monday with an event featuring Reps. Austin Scott and Lynn Westmoreland at the Cobb County location. You can find the details here.

Donald Trump's campaign and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's operation both already have offices in Georgia, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich's camp recently named a Georgia director.

Rubio is also likely to visit Georgia after Saturday's South Carolina GOP primary. Trump has already announced plans for a rally at the Georgia World Congress Center on Sunday and Kasich will hold a town hall at Kennesaw State University on Tuesday.

Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders headlined a rally at Morehouse College Tuesday night and Hillary Clinton is expected to stage her own event in Atlanta in the next few weeks.
