Super sleuthing revealed the firm behind today's economic development announcement.

Business types are being tight-lipped about Gov. Nathan Deal's economic development announcement planned for this morning. But all the Keurig dispensers that suddenly bubbled up around the statehouse kind of gave it away.

Keurig, the company behind the single-cup coffee system, has been scouting for a site in the Southeast for months. How do we know this? Well, the company ran an ad in the AJC back in March seeking candidates for plant management and engineering jobs for the project.

Today's announcement is likely the official word for the plant, which could employ hundreds of Georgians. Another potential reason why they picked Georgia: Atlanta-based Coke owns 16 percent of the company, which offers a new at-home cold drink brewing system.
