Republican presidential contender Donald Trump will hold a Monday night rally in Macon, his second visit to Georgia of the campaign.
The Macon Telegraph first had the news:
The event will be free to attend, but those who want to do so must have a ticket, Phillips said. Tickets will be available online, on the Trump website, perhaps later Tuesday.
The event will last about an hour, Phillips said, "but I've seen him speak in Iowa for 90 minutes."
Secret Service agents will be on hand Monday to provide security, screening visitors and checking handbags.
Trump's first visit to Georgia was a Norcross rally last month that drew 7,700. He's been building an SEC Primary following in the past couple weeks with visits to Alabama, Tennessee and Texas.
And because it's Trump, controversy follows. The Birmingham event was where a disruptive Black Lives Matter protester appeared to be assaulted and Trump later quipped "maybe he should have been roughed up." In recent days Trump has been under fire for a false racially tinged tweet about African-Americans and crime, and a false racially tinged recollection of Muslims celebrating on 9/11.
