Our sister publication the Palm Beach Post is reporting that outgoing DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz was jeered by her home-state delegation at the Democratic National Convention this morning.

The Palm Beach Post paints the scene, which included protesters chanting "shame on you" to the longtime congresswoman:

"Let's be respectful," Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Allison Tant said, pounding a gavel to try to restore order.

"So I can see there's a little bit of interest in my being here," Wasserman Schultz said. "I appreciate that interest. And a little bit of interest from the press. But that really shows you that Florida remains the most significant battleground state and will make sure that Hillary Clinton is elected president…We are the state that will deliver the White House."

Wasserman Schultz, of course, is the subject of much Democratic ire these days after a trove of 20,000 hacked DNC emails released over the weekend suggested the party apparatus favored Hillary Clinton during the primary. She announced yesterday that she'll step down as chairwoman of the DNC at the end of the convention but now it's unclear if she'll even make it till then.
