Shortly after tickets went on sale Friday morning for Ed Sheeran's Aug. 25 show at Infinite Energy Arena, demand warranted a second date.

The ginger singer-songwriter-guitarist will now play an additional show at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26. Tickets, priced at $39.50-$99.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 24 at the venue box office, www.infiniteenergycenter.com or by calling 770-626-2464.

Sheeran is touring behind his recently released third studio album, “÷” (pronounced “Divide”), which has already spawned the No. 1 hit “Shape of You” and the sweeping “Castle on the Hill.” The unassuming Brit graces the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
