The Atlanta Hawks are hooking up with another hometown star for their tilt against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Hip-hopper Jeezy, who today released his sixth album, “Church in These Streets,” will perform at halftime and after the Nov. 30 game (tipoff is 8 p.m.).
“Being an Atlanta native, it’s only right to partner up with the Hawks for my new album ‘Church in These Streets,’” Jeezy said in a statement. “No team, no fans and no artist will go harder for their city than on Nov. 30 in Atlanta at Philips Arena.”
The tie-in with the rapper includes a merchandise bundle that features the album and choice of one of two limited-edition Hawks/Jeezy themed shirts. Fans can purchase a long-sleeved shirt/album bundle beginning today on www.hawksshop.com, and will receive a 20 percent discount on the bundle with the purchase of a game ticket via www.hawks.com/jeezy. A limited number of short-sleeved shirt/album bundles are currently available for purchase at a discounted rate through www.tilt.com. Once the limited supply of discounted bundles is purchased via Tilt, the item will be available in Hawks Shop and on the store's website.
Jeezy has sold more than 5 million albums and 10 million singles worldwide since his debut album in 2005.
