When the smokin’ hot Atlanta Hawks battle the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, they’ll have a special halftime guest to keep the adrenaline flowing -- Gucci Mane.
The Atlanta rapper will drop his third album this year, “Return of East Atlanta Santa,” on Dec. 16. Since
his release from prison in May
, Mane has performed
a homecoming show at the Fox Theatre
in June, secured his first No. 1 album on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart with “Everybody’s Looking” in August and two months later unveiled “Woptober,” his 29th set to hit the charts.
Mane joins a prominent list of Atlanta-based hip-hop stars who have performed at the Hawks’ games, including T.I., 2 Chainz, Ludacris, Jeezy and Big Boi.
A special ticket package is available at www.hawks.com/gucci, which includes a seat for the game and a $10 food and beverage credit. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
