The Lefont Film Society will pay tribute to Col. Bruce Hampton with a one-night-only double feature.

At 7:06 p.m. Monday (May 15), the Lefont Theater at 5920 Roswell Road will show Michael Koepenick’s “Basically Frightened” – the 2012 documentary about Hampton - followed by Mike Gordon’s “Outside Out,” the quirky film about the “Outstructional Video” which won an award at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2000.

Koepenick will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A session.

Hampton, who died a few hours after his May 1 "Hampton 70" musical celebration at the Fox Theatre, will also be paid homage by Tinsley Ellis and other musicians at the June 10 Tunes from the Tombs festival at Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery .
