FRIDAY

Pat McGee

The amiable folk-pop singer-songwriter released an ambitious double album in 2015 featuring assistance from an array of top names in music, including Danny Kortchmar, Pat Monahan and John Popper. His live performances are well suited to the intimacy of Eddie’s Attic, as he pulls from his solo material as well as his melodic output with The Pat McGee Band (“Runaway,” “Rebecca,” “Haven’t Seen for Awhile.”)

With Sara Rachele 8 p.m. Jan. 5; 9:15 p.m. Jan. 6. $25-$32. Eddie’s Attic, 515-B N. McDonough St., Decatur. 1-877-987-6487, eddiesattic.com

SUNDAY

Henry Rollins

The veteran punk rocker is renowned as much for his spoken word skills as he is a musician. But for this “Travel Slideshow” appearance, Rollins is exhibiting another skill – photography. He’ll spend the evening telling stories about the photos he’s taken from his travels around the world, from the Middle East to Antarctica, and also provide a performance that draws from his travel experiences.

8 p.m. Jan. 7. $35-$160. Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave. NE, Atlanta. 1-877-987-6487, ticketfly.com
