Founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell are celebrating the 46th anniversary of their band, which became synonymous with '70s soft rock. "A Horse With No Name," "I Need You," "Ventura Highway" and "Lonely People" are just a handful of the chart-toppers that will be forever associated with the London-born group, which also included Dan Peek, who died in 2011.

Newsboys
The We Believe … God's Not Dead tour is headlined by veteran Australian pop-rockers the Newsboys, but they'll be joined by a robust lineup that includes Audio Adrenaline (now fronted by former Stellar Kart member Adam Agee) and Atlanta's OBB (Oswald Brothers Band) — a trio of Zach, Jacob and Nich Oswald. The Newsboys are spotlighting their 18th studio album, "Love Riot," released in March.

Though the farewell tour recently announced by the Go-Go's doesn't include an Atlanta date, fans of the group's sunny SoCal pop can at least get a dose from Carlisle, who secured a highly successful solo career in the '80s and early '90s. This is only her second U.S. solo tour in the past 15 years, and at recent shows in England and Australia she trotted out a frothy hit list, including "I Get Weak," "Circle in the Sand," "Summer Rain," "Mad About You," "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" and a nod or two to the Go-Go's.

The Black Lips, Young Dro and the Difference Machine headline this year’s installment of the self-proclaimed Atlanta holiday christened by local music promoter Ricky Raw on April 4, 2012 (you get the connection besides the Atlanta area code, right?). The gathering was created to highlight Atlanta musicians — particularly those with an electronic-hip-hop connection — visual artists, dancers and vendors.

Ace Frehley
The beloved “Space Ace” always offers plenty of Kiss tunes in his live show as well as, of course, some blissful ’70s “New York Groove” glam rock. The guitar wizard is readying the release of “Origins Vol. 1” April 15, a collection of covers from artists who have inspired him, such as Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones and Cream. He’ll also collaborate with Paul Stanley on Free’s “Fire and Water,” their first outing together in nearly two decades. Frehley will be joined by original Queensryche singer Geoff Tate, who is supporting his new album, “The Key.”
