Jacquees recently sang his remix of Ella Mai’s “Trip” at a concert, but the British songstress didn’t seem too impressed by the performance.

During a Tory Lanez show in London earlier this week, the Atlanta singer surprised the crowd with a performance of his rendition of Mai’s Billboard hit.

He released his version of the tune last year and was forced to remove it from YouTube and SoundCloud shortly after.

On Tuesday, Mai seemingly responded to Jacquees’ recent performance by posting a cryptic message to Twitter.

“I’d be so embarrassed if someone brung me on stage and the only thing i could sing was someone elses song because nobody knew my actual music. poor thing,” Mai wrote.

While she didn’t name anyone in particular, many assumed she was targeting Jacquees. Several took to social media to respond to her upload with memes and gifs.

Many said Mai’s response was justified.

Others came to Jacquees’ defense and said they liked his version better than the original.

And few insinuated they were baffled the two were seemingly feuding.
