Bobby Brown at Bobbi Kristina's side in the hospital: "She's good; we're praying"

Bobby Brown issued a statement through his lawyer early Thursday afternoon to dispute reports that family members were preparing to say goodbye to his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who has been hospitalized since Saturday.

In a brief exchange with Access Hollywood later in the day, Brown said, "She's good. We're praying."

Bobbi Kristina's cousin Jerod Brown, whose social media handle is YFKennedy, urged people to remain hopeful.

"Hey y'all, a few of you all have been messaging me , commenting under photos about her condition....Though it seems the odds are against her, though doctors don't see any hope for change, though we might want to play detective and find out how she got there, though it looks impossible for her to stand again STILL PRAY FOR BK," he posted:

Bobbi Kristina's family members have been gathering in the days since she was rushed to the hospital Saturday. She was initially taken to North Fulton Hospital after being discovered unresponsive and face-down in a bathtub. She was later moved to Emory.

Amid reports the family had been preparing for the worst, Bobby Brown issued a statement to the contrary: "If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Bobby and the late Whitney Houston, is 21.

The Houston family issued this statement: "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."
