From 7-10 p.m. tonight, Southbound will host the opening reception for Photographer Adam Smith's exhibit "Mornin' Ain't Come Yet: A Look Into The Music & Landscape of the Deep South." Adam, who was born in Macon, GA, was selected as Photographer of the Year by the 11th Hour in his hometown; his photographs were also chosen for permanent display at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
Ryan Smith, executive chef of Southbound and no relation to Adam, will create a special menu for the occasion featuring pork biscuits, pimento cheese and chicken rice balls, catfish nuggets, smoked sausage with brandied peach jam and fried okra with pepper jelly. Like the rest of Southbound’s menu, tonight’s menu will pay homage to classic southern cuisine using fresh ingredients from local farms. While listening to music and flavors inspired by Deep South, guests can also enjoy a variety of cocktails.
All works on display will be available for purchase.
Southbound is located at 5394 Peachtree Road in Chamblee.
