Learn to cook delicious tailgate dishes. Complimentary wine and wisdom at Ponce City Market on Wednesdays. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Now through Aug. 24: Owner/chef Doug Turbush of Seed Kitchen & Bar just launched a rotating three-course meal which gives guests a choice from two small plates, two entrées and two dessert options. Examples of menu items include white gazpacho or crispy flatbread; cornmeal-crusted catfish or mole-braised pork cheeks; and tres leches cake or lemon cake. This special Chef's Harvest Menu is $35; wine pairings may be added for an additional $15. The menu is available from 3-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and changes each week.

Wednesday, Aug. 23: During Meet the Winemaker Wednesdays at  The Barrel Room Restaurant , winemaker Travis Green will provide complimentary pourings of our wines while guests pick his brain on all things wine from 5-7 p.m. Free, but first come, first serve. Ongoing Wednesdays.

Friday, Aug. 25: Indulge in a five-course dinner featuring Benton's country ham-inspired, smoked ham and lobster taco, dry aged rib-eye and more at 6:30 p.m. at Ray's at Killer Creek . Dishes will be paired with Buffalo Trace bourbon. Special guest Allan Benton will visit from his Smokehouse in Madisonville, Tennessee to greet guests. Tickets are $70.

Saturday, Aug. 26: Cibo e Beve will host a cooking class featuring the Big Green Egg plus culinary secrets to help make your tailgate a touchdown. Guests will learn how to make garlic steak spiedini, spicy Harissa marinated chicken spiedini, veggie "shawarma" skewers, smoked and grilled wings and more from 1-3 p.m.. Tickets, which are $60, can be purchased here.
