A new spot for Asian barbecue is open in Cobb County, courtesy of a veteran Atlanta restaurateur.
Smoke + Duck Sauce, the brainchild of Gary Lin, who owns Chow Bing in Buckhead, opened today at 2014 Powers Ferry Road, Ste. 400 in Atlanta.
The restaurant's menu, which combines Lin's love of Southern-style barbecue with the flavors of his Asian heritage, features dishes including a smoked brisket sandwich made with teriyaki sauce and Asian slaw; grilled chicken over greens with maple vinaigrette; and ribs made with the duck sauce referenced in the restaurant's name, a tamarind-based sauce often used in Asian cooking. In keeping with the Asian-fusion vibe, all dishes are plated on a modernized Chinese zodiac.
Thirsty? Smoke + Duck Sauce also serves bottled craft beers.
"For us, it's about the details to fresh, natural ingredients, and the craft my family has taught me from generations of experience," Lin said in an e-mail.
The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
