A food cart that attracts long lines in New York is soon getting its own brick-and-mortar location in Chamblee.
The Halal Guys, which has been operating in New York for 25 years and also has locations in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Northern and Southern California, will open at 4929 Buford Hwy., Suite A this fall.
The restaurant will serve up beef gyro sandwiches, chicken-and-rice platters with "secret" white sauce and a variety of other American Halal dishes.
Franchisee Moynul Chowdhury, operating franchisee of the Chamblee location, has lived in metro Atlanta for more than 20 years.
