4 places to celebrate July 4th in metro Atlanta

Enjoy pre- and actual Independence Day fetes with food and festivities in metro Atlanta. From an all-you-can eat barbecue to rooftop views, the following four places have you covered with fun.

Monday, July 3: Join  BeetleCat  for a pre-Independence Day taco luau celebration featuring a pig roast and specials from chef Andrew Isabella, beer and punch specials plus a live DJ on the patio from 1-4 p.m. Tickets, which can be purchased here, are $25 and include pork with beachside-inspired taco fixins’ such as pineapple kimchi, potato yucca salad and street corn plus two drink tickets. Feel free to show up rocking your favorite Hawaiian shirt, grass skirt and leis.

Tuesday, July 4: For a backyard barbecue blowout, head to Revival , Kevin Gillespie's family-style restaurant in Decatur, which will offer barbecue, beer and outdoor games from noon-6 p.m. or until the ‘cue runs out. No reservations or tickets necessary.

Tuesday, July 4: Drink for a cause at  Meehan's Public House in Buckhead for the second annual Independence Day block party with burger and beer specials from noon-3 p.m. A portion of proceeds will benefit BlazeSports America, an organization that offers a variety of sport and recreation programs for kids and veterans with physical disabilities.

Tuesday, July 4: Celebrate stars and stripes at The Roof at Ponce City Market's  inaugural Rooftop Backyard BBQ event from 5-11 p.m. Guests will be able to break out their red, white and blue for an evening of barbecue, libations, live music, entertainment and panoramic fireworks view to celebrate America’s birthday. The roof will offer three ways to celebrate Fourth of July at  Skyline ParkNine Mile Station  and Rooftop Terrace . General admission will be sold at the door for $25.
