Atlanta’s Orpheus Brewing has launched a new double IPA packed with hop and fruit flavors.

VIDEO:  Orpheus president and brewmaster Jason Pellett discusses the brewery’s double IPA Truth, Body, Soul

The midtown brewery first offered Truth, Body, Soul at an anniversary event in early 2016, but is now making the brew available on tap at local bars and in cans.

Though reminiscent of Creature Comforts’ popular Tropicalia, Orpheus’ offering is even fruitier. However, it does not have the bitterness typically associated with an IPA, much less a double (or imperial) IPA.

The hops used for this beer are German. Orpheus president and brewmaster Jason Pellett said late hopping and the selection of Galaxy, Huell Melon and Hallertau Blanc hops made the magic possible.

Truth, Body, Soul weighs in at 8 percent ABV, which is just inside double IPA territory.

The canned product is a deep gold and highly carbonated.

Truth, Body, Soul became available on tap Jan. 6 at bars including The Porter (Atlanta), Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall (Atlanta), The Brick Store (Decatur), and The Wing Cafe & Tap (Marietta). It will be available in cans soon at retailers, including all Total Wine locations.
