Musician Zac Brown partners with Dahlonega distillery

The nearly year-old Stillhouse Creek Distillery in Dahlonega has rebranded to Z. Brown Distillery in what they are calling a “strategic alliance” with the Grammy award-winning Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band . The distillery, located in Brown’s hometown, is slated to re-open sometime this fall.

According to the distillery’s social media feeds, Stillhouse Creek which opened its doors to the public last November, quietly entered a partnership with the musician earlier this year. The distillery rebrand (announced last Friday) is generating excitement among Brown’s large fan base on social media.

There is no word as to when the “new” distillery’s first whiskey will be released or what other spirits might be produced in the future.

Brown is no stranger to the food and beverage world. He owns a Napa Valley winery called Z. Alexander Brown and, he will open fast-casual restaurant Zac Brown’s Social Club in Phillips Arena next year.
