Sunday is National Ice Cream day and there are plenty of ways to celebrate this delicious holiday. Here are some deals and freebies along with the best places to eat ice cream in Atlanta:

Carvel- Customers will recieve a second cup or cone for free when they buy one. This BOGO deal is good all day on July 16.

McDonald's- Grab a free vanilla soft-serve cone for free on National Ice Cream day. Customers also have the chance to win free ice cream for life all you have to do is download the McDonald's app, order your cone and if you are given the limited edition "Golden Arches cone" then you are entitled to free soft serve for life. The grand prize giveaway will happen between 2 and 5 p.m. on July 16. Download the app here.

Cold Stone Creamery- Join Cold Stone's eClub and receive a coupon for two Cold Stone Creations for the price of one.

Marble Slab Creamery- Throughout the month of July customers will receive $2 off a purchase of $10 or more when they download the Slab Happy Rewards app. Customers will also receive a free ice cream coupon for joining and more freebies throughout the year.

Mayfield Creamery- Celebrate National Ice Cream day with the Atlanta Braves at a tailgate party in SunTrust Park in lot 29. Stop by for free samples and a chance to spin a prize wheel for additional prizes and treats. This event will take place before the 1:35 p.m. game on Sunday.

Your Pie- Change it up and head to Your Pie for free gelato on National Ice Cream day. The Italian version of will be given away in different flavors at Your Pie locations.
