After finding success with its downtown Atlanta location , Memphis-based Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken has officially picked a site for its next local store.
A location at 6518 Roswell Rd NE in Atlanta on the edge of Sandy Springs is set to open by November, according to Roby Brown, the COO for Gus's Georgia franchises.
The location is currently home to Clay's Sports Cafe, which has been in the building for 25 years. A representative from Clay's said the bar and restaurant is looking for a new location nearby. The Clay's space and a space next door will merge in order to house Gus's.
Brown said Gus's is hoping to add a patio to the area during construction.
In addition to the Roswell Road store, Brown said at least four more metro Atlanta locations are in the works .
