Welcome to Dining With the Stars, a feature in which Atlanta notables walk us through their dream food day in the metro area.

Actress Laura Slade Wiggins grew up in Athens, Georgia doing community theater. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2007, she’s snagged roles in television shows including “Shameless,” where she portrayed Karen Jackson; “The Tomorrow People,”; and the recently-released “Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase.”

In her latest film, “Along Came the Devil 2,” which comes out in theaters, VOD and digital this weekend, she stars as a woman who battles a demonic force in her hometown.

Wiggins, who now calls the metro Atlanta area her home, shares some of her favorite places to eat and drink when she’s not on set.

Favorite place for breakfast: Mama's Boy at the Falls. My husband and I love to split orders: a sweet  and savory item. We usually split the Mill Town Breakfast with cheese grits and a half stack of pancakes. The massive biscuits and endless homemade jam they provide while waiting for your food leaves no  customer hungry.

Mama's Boy at the Falls. 8851 Macon Hwy, Athens. 706-850-8550, mamasboyathens.com/

Favorite place for a cup of coffee. I love to grab some coffee at Jittery Joe's. I'm a huge fan of

their house coffees with cream and sugar, but when I’m feeling something sweet, I like to order a chai tea latte.

Jittery Joe's. 181 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta. 404-659-0400, jitteryjoes.com

Favorite place for lunchFor lunch, I generally don't get a lot of time, so if I'm around Decatur and need a grab and go, I love the Decatur Farmer's Market. They have tons of fresh options. I tend to go with chicken and a fresh veggie side, but you can literally get whatever you want.

Favorite place for happy hour. I've gone to Ormsby's and made many a happy memory. I'm a beer girl, and I really love a nice, cold Classic City Lager.

Ormsby's. 1170 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta. 404-968-2033, ormsbysatlanta.com/

Favorite place for dinner. City Pharmacy's dinner menu is off the charts delicious. I've never ordered the same thing twice and never had a bad experience. If you are looking for a healthy option, they offer lots of delicious fish dishes.

City Pharmacy. 1105 Church St, Covington. 470-441-5092, citypharmacycov.com/

Favorite place for late night food and drinks.  Edgar's Proof and Provision has a romantic and private feeling that I

really love. The Manhattan is worth the trip even if you aren’t staying at The Georgian Terrace.

Edgar's Proof and Provision. 659 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta. 404-897-5045, proofandprovision.com/
