We love a holiday we can raise a glass to. Thursday, Feb. 22 is National Margarita Day, and lots of places in town are helping you celebrate with deals, specials and events:


Babalu Tapas & Tacos: The Midtown spot will offer its Baba-Rita -- made with Patron Silver tequila, agave nectar, fresh-squeezed sour mix, POM and triple sec -- for $7 through Feb. 25.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina: The eatery is selling its Classic 'Rita for $2 through Feb. 22. Guests must ask for the special offer upon ordering. Price and participation may vary by location; Dine-in only.

Tin Lizzy's Cantina: All locations of the Atlanta-based Mexican restaurant are offering $2.22 Milagro margaritas on Feb. 22 and Milagro tequila specials -- including $3.50 Milagro shorty shots and Thin Lizzys (Milagro Silver and Agavero orange liqueur with muddled lemons, limes and agave nectar) through Feb. 24.

Maestro Margarita

  • Dantanna's signature blend of Maestro Dobel tequila - 1 1/2 oz
  • Cointreau - 3/4 oz
  • Fresh Sour Mix
  • Rim with Kosher Salt


  • Avion Silver Tequila - 1 1/2 oz
  • Triple Sec - 1/2 oz
  • Fresh Lime Juice - 1/4 oz
  • Red Hare SPF 50/50

Cabo Wobble Margarita

  • Cabo Wabo Silver Tequila - 1 1/2 oz
  • Triple Sec - 1/2 oz
  • Fresh Sour Mix
  • Sliced Fresh Jalapeños
  • Float of Pernod Liqueur
  • Rim with Piquin Chile/Salt Blend


Zoe's Kitchen shares its recipes for its Limeade Margarita

Serves 4 to 6


  • 4 cups Zoës Limeade
  • 2 cups tequila
  • 1 cup triple sec
  • Limes
  • Salt


  1. Fill a large pitcher with limeade, tequila, and triple sec.
  2. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass. Dip the rim of the glass in salt to lightly coat.
  3. Add ice to glass and pour in limeade margarita. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
