Call it a pop-up or a mutiny. On August 21, chef David Bies takes over Ticonderoga Club in the guise of his "sea-faring, salty dog alter ego, Captain B," for a Sunday afternoon and evening of seafood.
Billed as the "first of many Captain B’s events," the menu will focus on classic Southern fish fry fare. That includes fried catfish, Georgia peel ’n eat shrimp, deviled blue crab and fried Apalachicola oysters, with white grits, hushpuppies, braised greens and cornbread salad on the side.
Also on the menu, "a special one day only cocktail list" from Greg Best and Paul Calvert. Plus the debut of the Ticonderoga/Creature Comforts collaboration, Athena Ticonderoga Berliner Weisse, brewed with lemon and pineapple to evoke the flavors of the signature Ticonderoga Cup.
Note: This is a non-ticketed event and all menu items will be sold a la carte, with platter options available for large groups or really hungry individuals.
