We were so busy eating brunch this week in preparation for the launch of the AJC Spring Dining Guide: All Things Brunch in Atlanta , that we could barely keep up with Atlanta food and restaurant news. But we did! Here are some of the week's biggest stories and big events coming up:
- Botiwalla open at Ponce City Market , Brush Sushi Izakaya open in Decatur and A beloved Atlanta wine shop is opening a South Buckhead location .
- This Atlanta restaurant was named one of the best Jewish delis in the U.S. and this Atlanta brewpub's beer was named the best in the state
- The Spring Tonic will be held at 3 p.m. this Sunday, April 17, at Crack in the Sidewalk Farmlet at 56q McWilliams Road in Atlanta. The event features food and drinks concocted using wild, foraged and hunted foods by local chefs and bartenders including Ryan Smith of Staplehouse, Terry Koval of Wrecking Bar and Kellie Thorn of Empire State South. Tickets are $90 and proceeds benefit Community Farmers Markets' double SNAP (supplemental nutrition assistance program), Crack in the Sidewalk Farmlet, and the Giving Kitchen. - Buckhead restaurant week kicks off this weekend
- Ponce City Farmers Market on The BeltLine will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3. Hosted in partnership with Community Farmers Markets inside the BeltLine Shed, the property's open-air patio located parallel to the Eastside Trail, the market brings together local farmers, makers and artisans.
