There's one less spot to enjoy barbecue in Buckhead.
521 Kitchen & Que, which served a menu of barbecue and Southern food staples, has closed its doors after about two years in business.
The spot, located at 4365 Roswell Road NE in the Fresh Market Shopping Center, addressed the closure on its website:
"It is with bittersweet emotions, that we announce Friday was our last day of service. We had an opportunity at the right time that just could not be passed up!
It has been a pleasure to serve our loyal customers and to share the passion we have for quality foods. We look forward to being a part of all of your dining experiences again soon. Stay tuned for Chef Drew Kirkland’s next ventures."
Real estate firm The Schumacher Group confirmed the space will be "converted to a different but casual restaurant concept," which Tomorrow's News Today reports will be an outpost of Alabama-based Chicken Salad Chick.
