If you like lots (and lots and lots) of choices when it comes to purchasing a work of art or craft that you might live with for a good while or give as a gift, the 13th annual "Perspectives: Georgia Pottery Invitational" is the place for you.
Continuing daily though Sept. 16 at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) Art Center in Watkinsville, nine miles south of Athens, the sale features some 5,500 pieces of contemporary functional and decorative pottery for sale by 50 well-established Georgia potters.

The sale is the centerpiece of "Perspectives," but the entire OCAF is given over to pottery over the next two weeks. Included are three exhibits: the best works by the 50 selected potters in the Main Gallery; nature-inspired creations by Asheville, N.C., ceramicist Akira Satake in the Members' Gallery; and clay and mixed media figurative clocks by Isabell Daniel of Farmington in the Hall Gallery.
In addition, there are pottery demonstrations 1-4 p.m. Saturdays; and gallery talks by Watkinsville potter Michael Pitts at 1 p.m. Sept. 6 and 13.
