Metro Atlanta residents can experience Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's repertoire through Feb. 19 at the Fox Theatre, but the dance company is ensuring that fans who can't make it to one of their shows can still get a glimpse at some of their moving choreography.

The dance company pays tribute to Oscar-nominated "Moonlight" in a recently released short video. Similar to the film, the choreographed video features a look at a man in three distinct stages of his life.

Jamar Roberts, Christopher Taylor and Jeremy T. Villas perform artistic director Robert Battle's choreography to the "Moonlight" score from Nicholas Britell.

Barry Jenkins' "Moonlight" tells the story of a closeted black gay man growing up in Miami, Florida. The film is nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Alvin Ailey If You Go: 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Saturday; 3 p.m. Sunday. Through Feb. 19. $21.50-$86.50. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St., Atlanta.  foxtheatre.org .
