Cobb County fire officials lifted the outdoor burn ban Wednesday after back-to-back days of rain.

For more than five weeks, Cobb County Fire Marshal's Office was not allowing any outdoor burning because of the historic drought conditions parching the entire South.

With the ban now lifted, here's how and what you can burn:

♦ Burn leaves, pine straw and other yard debris in piles no larger than six feet by six feet

♦ Piles must also be at least 50 feet from any structure and a "water-charged hose" must be present during burning

♦ The fire must be completely extinguished at least an hour before sunset

The fire marshal's office will resume issuing permits for large yard waste and bonfires.

And you might need a bonfire considering the cold  20-degree temperatures coming to the area.
