Marietta’s largest animated light show returns this holiday season

Nov 2, 2021

Turn up the holiday spirit with World of Illumination. The world’s largest drive-through animated light show returns to Marietta this holiday season on Nov. 12 with a rockin’ new theme.

World of Illumination’s Rockin’ Christmas is about one mile in length and features millions of dazzling lights and a symphony of sounds. Guests will be introduced to larger-than-life-sized musical notes and other fun illuminated characters, including a retro Santa spinning it old school. And as a special add-on, guests can participate in an interactive treasure hunt using magical 3D glasses.

Meanwhile, south of the metro, Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton will be hosting its own World of Illumination show, Arctic Adventure.

Arctic Adventure, which debuts Nov. 17, takes visitors through a winter wonderland where a 32-foot-tall snowman named Sunny and all of his arctic friends live.

“You’ll be delighted by your favorite holiday music and whimsical winter characters. Nostalgic and memorable, the world’s largest animated drive-through light show is a storybook adventure for kids of all ages,” the light show description states.

Online reservations are required and tickets will not be sold at the gate. For more information or to purchase advance tickets, visit www.worldofillumination.com.
