Holiday magic awaits at Stone Mountain Christmas

Immerse yourself in holiday magic on select days from now until Jan. 1, 2023 at Stone Mountain Park, which has transformed into a winter wonderland complete with festive music, twinkling lights, a string of spectacular shows and attractions and appearances by holiday characters.

During Stone Mountain Christmas, guests can enjoy park attractions such as the Summit Skyride and Scenic Railroad as well as attend special events including the Christmas Drone Show, Christmas Parade and more.

Previously, the park implemented strict safety precautions for COVID, including performing temperature checks, requiring face masks and enforcing social distancing with markers and queues. This year the park has revised some of those rules.

“Since the onset of the pandemic, we have closely monitored and assessed virus rates, public health recommendations, regulatory requirements, and agency guidance to inform and implement our safety protocols,” the park’s website said. “Given the latest information we have and the recent decline in infection rates and hospitalizations, the determination has been made to adjust our COVID-19 requirements. At this time, masking is optional for employees and guests, regardless of vaccination status.

“The safety and wellbeing of our hosts and guests remains our top priority and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Please note that changes may occur at any time, based on available public health information.”

While attractions are available daily, most of the Stone Mountain Christmas shows take place on weekends. The various holiday shows include “Cath Santa’s Big Flight,” “World’s Largest Christmas Light Show” and more.

Admission is $39.95 for adults and $34.95 for children ages 3 and up. Tickets can be purchased here.
