Bruce, Lagat win USA Track and Field 10K championships

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race winners claimed an additional prize this year.
Stephanie Bruce and Bernard Lagat, winners of this year’s Peachtree, also won the USA Track and Field 10K. The Peachtree essentially acted as a race within a race in 2018.
Bruce was clocked at 32:21, earning his first national title. Lagat’s posted a 28:45 time at 43 years old.
Each was awarded $10,000 for winning the Peachtree.
