During an episode of his "Rocket Hour" show on Beats 1 radio, he dished about collaborating with the Atlanta artist. The two worked together on "High," a remix of John's "Rocket Man" which appears on Young Thug's newly released "On The Rvn" project. The original record came out in 1972.

Although the rock legend said he usually doesn’t listen to his own music on air, he made an exception for Thugger.

“Young Thug, who I love and have met, he dropped a track. It's a remix of ‘Rocket Man,’” he said. “And I don't usually play my own stuff on this show but this is so cool and so good.”

He also called the tune “a great surprise.”

“Sometimes you hear something that you never knew was going to happen or never thought was going to happen in a million years,” he gushed.
