Here's what Atlanta thinks of the new Migos album ‘Culture II’
On Friday morning, music lovers woke up to a new album from Migos. “Culture II,” the trio’s third studio album, garnered much attention as many flocked to social media to share their thoughts.
The project is full of guest appearances from a slew of artists, including Drake, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz and Post Malone. And the list of producers is just as impressive, with beats from Metro Boomin and Zatoven.
The LP follows the rappers’ sophomore project “Culture,” which dropped about a year ago. Now they’re excited to promote their latest, taking to Twitter to rave about the 24-track record.
Fans also hopped online to express their opinions, and the reviews were mixed. Several thought many of the songs sounded too similar to the ones from “Culture.”

i love the migos, they have an important place in rap. they missed an opportunity to make a concise, thought-out and calculated album. instead, it’s just a spew of the same sounds we’ve heard for the past 24 months.

I can’t listen to Migos albums straight through because most songs sound the same. I need some growth from them

Others disagreed, arguing the difference between Migos’ last two albums is evident. Many loved it, and some even called it a “masterpiece.”
Culture II just showed me how commercial Migos went... It ain’t the same as Culture or even stuff before that
