If you live in or near Brunswick, Georgia, you can expect Hurricane Michael to weaken to a tropical storm and move toward the city from now through Thursday, with possible wind gusts expected to reach between 39 and 57 miles per hour, posing a threat to “life and property,” according to the National Weather Service.

The tornado watch is in effect from 2:45 p.m. Wednesday until 2 a.m. Thursday morning. The coastal flood advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday. There is also a high surf advisory effective until 10 a.m. Thursday. Residents should expect rainfall up less than an additional tenth of an inch, a potential for storm surge flooding greater than 1 foot above ground and flooding.
