The winter storm bearing down on Georgia has claimed another victim: the Wild Hog Supper.

The event typically occurs the Sunday before every new session of the Georgia Legislature, a welcome-back-to-Atlanta event for lawmakers, elected officials and voters. The 2017 legislative session begins Monday.

Sarah Jackson, corporate partnership manager at Georgia Food Bank Association, which operates (and benefits from) the annual Supper, said late Friday the event will be rescheduled.

Tickets will be honored on the new date, she said.

This year’s Supper will be the 55th annual.
