How Atlanta’s bid for Amazon could affect Georgia lawmakers’ 2018 schedule

Sine Die, the last day of Georgia's 2018 legislative session, is Thursday, March 29.

But if the city of Atlanta’s bid for Amazon’s second headquarters, HQ2, goes the way the state hopes, the end of the session won’t be the end of Georgia lawmakers’ work at the Capitol.

In January, Gov. Nathan Deal announced plans to call lawmakers to a special session to decide on an incentive package to lure the tech giant to Georgia if the state is chosen as a top finalist.
