House to hold budget hearings

The state House will not meet in formal session next week, its members instead will begin the annual process of crafting the state budget.

The House Appropriations Committee will hold hearings on a plan to amend the current state spending plan as well as the budget that takes effect July 1.

The House will be in session Wednesday and Thursday of this week and return to session Monday, Jan. 28.
