The Georgia General Assembly at a glance for Thursday, Day 22 of the 2018 legislative session:

Eagles Landing: Bills that would create a new city of Eagles Landing by carving out a portion of Stockbridge are scheduled to be debated on the Senate floor on Tuesday. Stockbridge leaders say the move is unprecedented, with the new city taking half of it's tax base if it is created. Senate Bill 262 would de-annex about 7,000 Stockbridge residents and Senate Bill 263 would create the new city. Democratic senators have taken to the floor throughout the week to voice their opposition to the legislation and are expected to put up a fight during Thursday's debate.

Stacey Abrams is running for governor.

Vogtle profits: A Senate panel will discuss a plan to keep Georgia Power customers from paying for profits due to the increased costs and delays of constructing two nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle. Senate Bill 355 also would require utility companies to get approval from the General Assembly before it could pursue another nuclear project. The bill is scheduled to be before the Senate Regulated Industries Committee Thursday afternoon.

On the record: "I've had some very spirited conversations about Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. And no matter where we are in terms of how we feel about its governance and the future of the airport, what I do know is that we all care that our airport represents really what's best about us as a city and whats best about us as a state. I look forward to sharing more with each of you all ... as we talk about the new leadership at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and making sure that it really remains a model for the entire world."
