Blanks’ and Falcons’ actions offensive

Arthur Blank and the Falcons’ antics at Sunday’s game demonstrated a lack of character and appreciation. Blank knew his little protest would offend many of us who believe that the ceremonies around the presentation of our nation’s flag should be sacred and treated with respect and reverence.

When he and the Falcons used the flag presentation ceremonies to advance their personal political agendas and animosities to the president, they disrespected all Americans, our nation and our Constitution. Their fetid demonstration was even more despicable because they did so within a building significantly funded by the people they view with contempt and within a nation that aspires to ensuring liberty for all, including the economic freedom that made each of them very wealthy.

We will never forget what Arthur Blank, the Falcons and the NFL have done.

Is Trump really draining the swamp?

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price used government-funded private jets to visit a vacation island where he owns the property and had lunch with his son. Americans are right to question the actions this new administration has taken since the Trump inauguration. Let’s look at some of the highlights, without the daily Twitter distraction.

Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin and his wife went on a shopping spree on a visit to Fort Knox to watch the total eclipse of the sun, on a government jet. He also requested a government jet to whisk the newlyweds to their honeymoon. The Environmental Protection Agency is building a phone booth for Administrator Scott Pruitt. It’s reported some of the top White House officials are using private email accounts for official business. Is this what draining the swamp looks like?
